Benjamin Mkapa EPZOver the past years Tanzania has suffered from low revenue collection and persistent ‘tax revenue gap’ and balance of trade deficit’. In early 2000’s it was  assumed that the introduction Export Processing Zones (EPZ) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ)  can contribute towards reducing this gap by attracting more FDI, expanding industrialisation, foreign exchange earnings and job creation. This article discusses Tanzania’s revenue collection challenge and proposes that the government should re assess the benefits accruing from its EPZA and SEZ policies, with a view of gaining more economic value; This article can be read via: http://www.gepc.or.tz/?post_type=work&p=650
